House of Representatives 2027: Governor Fintiri’s Possible Choice for Mubi/Maiha Constituency and the Path to Victory

An Open Letter to His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri

Your Excellency Sir,

It’s clear that throughout your political career, you have never won Mubi Local Government Area. Yet the combined population of Mubi North and Mubi South is two times the population of Madagali, Michika, and Maiha put together.

If your senatorial ambition is a chess game, then without doubt Mubi is the queen, the most powerful piece on the board, even much more powerful than the king.

Your Excellency, let’s look at this mathematically. You may get 90% of the votes from Madagali and Michika, and 60% from Maiha. But in Mubi, if you’re lucky, you might get 30% or less if none of their sons gets the House of Representatives ticket.

Dear sir, let’s go deeper and weigh the candidates from Mubi by their current political influence:

Hon. Aji Paul: Hon. Aji Paul is a young politician, still a “baby comrade,” hoping to ride on his father’s past glory for his campaign. Aji is not the type of politician you can rely on to deliver Mubi North and South for you. Aji Paul needs more time to grow before he can handle such a huge task. Giving Aji Paul the ticket to deliver Mubi North and South is like going to the battlefield without weapons.

Hon. Jafar (Current Rep) l: Hon. Jafar is a politician who is almost completing 8 years in the National Assembly representing Mubi/Maiha Constituency. If we want evidence, just look at people’s reactions to Jafar’s media team posts on Facebook. You will see how eager people are to vote him out of the Assembly. Jafar does not have enough projects to convince his people about his ambition. Even in the last election, Hon. Jafar did not truly win — he was only lucky that the court ruled in his favor. If not, the story would be different today. In short, Jafar is not strong enough to give you the numbers you need in Mubi.

Hon. Hamza Zubairu: Compared to other candidates in the race, Hon. Hamza rates highest based on evidence from recent months and years. Hamza has been a grassroots politician in Mubi for more than a decade. Recent media reports show he is the only candidate who has locked down both Mubi and Maiha in field polls. This is largely due to his strategic style of touching people’s lives directly, even without holding any political office. 

In addition, I came across several news reports on Facebook highlighting over 100 federal job slots he secured for constituents, 500 JAMB forms he distributed with plans for full scholarships for those who pass, and more than 300 women empowerment programs across the Mubi/Maiha constituency. Further evidence shows that, in Adamawa North, aside from Your Excellency, Hon. Hamza ranks second in media trends and public engagement. 

His recent visit to Mubi and Maiha proved his capacity. Thousands assembled to welcome him. I saw a video where Maiha youths, out of pure love, attempted to lift Hon. Hamza’s vehicle while chanting his name. If you truly want to own Mubi, Your Excellency, then you must hold Hamza tight. He is the only queen you need on your chessboard to dismantle every pawn, rook, and knight threatening your king.

Hajiya Ramatu Bello: Ramatu Bello is kind and generous, but not politically strong. She cannot deliver Mubi, let alone other local governments.

All other candidates can try, but the above four are the strongest for you to choose from. Out of them, I believe Hamza is the only man who can deliver Mubi for you and for President Tinubu with ease. Your Excellency, think wisely. Atiku will definitely strike hard in Mubi. Appoint Hamza to shield you and President Tinubu from taking hits. He is the man for the job.

Sir, the numbers don’t lie and the streets have spoken. Mubi is the battleground that will decide your senatorial fate, and Hon. Hamza Zubairu is the only candidate with the heart, the structure, and the street credibility to lock it down for you. He is not a politician of empty promises, his footprints are already on the ground, his name is on the lips of children, women, and youths, and his projects have touched lives when others looked away.

Endorsing Hamza is not a gamble; it is a guarantee. With him, you secure Mubi North, Mubi South, and even pull Maiha along turning your chessboard from defense to total dominance. Without him, Your Excellency, you risk losing your queen while Atiku and other opponents move in for checkmate.

The choice is simple: Hold Hamza tight, win Mubi at ease, and deliver Adamawa North for yourself and for President Tinubu. History remembers leaders who made bold, wise choices. This is yours.
