Disregard the news making round regarding the leadership of NIRSAL: Ambassador Bappare
The National convener of Northern Youth consultative initiative Ambassador Bappare Mohammed said on a Press briefing today in Adamawa State that it is indeed sad and painful that some online media are circulating unverified news. According to him fake news has succeeded in brainwashing our thoughts as a Nigerian people that suppose to think as we read contents particularly on the internet.
He condemned in a strong term the action and evil been perpetrated by some online media aimed at tarnishing the image of the current MD/CEO of NIRSAL Aliyu Abdulhameed who has within the shortest possible time change the narratives in Nigeria through his broadbase Economic Policies targeted at the vulnerable.
It is on this note that, I want to use this medium once again to call on the Nigerian media to be more professional in their duty of desiminating information and most importantly verify their sources before making them available to the teaming readers who most at times believes always what they read. He said.
He also call for sanctions to any media outfit found wanting of this distraction by publishing contents under false pretences and for selfish reasons as against the ethics and compliance with the Fundamental principles of Journalism in Nigeria.it is rather unfortunate that they are all out again to tarnish the hard earned image of a Nigerian who has changed the fortunes of Nigerian farmers and small scale entrepreneurs to millionaires.
Nigerians are now self reliance and without any fair of contradiction NIRSAL has done well in performing it's responsibilities under the leadership of Mr Aliyu Abdulhameed with the support of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). We are urging the general public most especially the Nigerian farmers to disregard this fake news circulating as the enemises are at it again to truncate the progress and development our nation Economy that is on the rise again through NIRSAL.He concluded.
