Northern Leaders Throw Weight Behind Zakka's AMAC Bid

From: Mustapha Usman

The Northern Nigeria Leaders Forum has thrown its weight behind Christopher Zakka Maikalangu's reelection bid as Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). In a statement signed by the Forum's National Leader, Murtala Gamji, Zakka was described as the most deserving among those currently vying for the AMAC Chairmanship.

According to Murtala Gamji, Zakka's performance has been exemplary, and his leadership has brought significant progress to the council. He stated that Zakka's achievements would be an advantage to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the Area Councils elections in Abuja.

Under Zakka's leadership, AMAC has witnessed significant development in rural communities, particularly in the provision of basic amenities such as rural electrification, feeder roads, and pipe-borne water. These initiatives have greatly benefited residents in rural areas, improving their overall quality of life.

Murtala Gamji noted that the decision to prioritize rural development was deliberate, given the neglect these areas suffered under previous administrations. He emphasized that Zakka's administration has allocated a larger percentage of resources to rural areas to address the historical imbalance.

The Northern Nigeria Leaders Forum believes that Zakka's reelection would ensure continuity and further development in AMAC. They expressed confidence that his leadership would bring more infrastructural development to both rural and urban areas of the council.

Gamji highlighted Zakka's commitment to serving the people and his ability to deliver on his promises. He urged party members and residents of AMAC to support Zakka's reelection bid, citing his impressive track record and dedication to public service.

The Forum's endorsement of Zakka's reelection bid is seen as a significant boost to his campaign. With his proven leadership skills and commitment to development, Zakka is well-positioned to continue delivering results for the people of AMAC.

In conclusion, the Northern Nigeria Leaders Forum's backing of Zakka's reelection bid underscores his credibility and effectiveness as a leader. His vision for AMAC's development and his achievements so far make a strong case for his reelection as Chairman of the council.
