The nation has lost a rare gem, and I have lost a father and mentor. With a heavy heart, I join Nigerians in mourning the passing of His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. President Buhari was a towering figure whose life was defined by service, sacrifice, and unwavering integrity.

As someone who had the privilege of working closely with him, I can attest to his deep conviction and moral clarity. His leadership inspired discipline, national pride, and a renewed commitment to public accountability. He was a man of quiet strength, who mentored with humility and led by example.

President Buhari's legacy will continue to shape our national conscience for years to come. His commitment to transparency, patriotism, and uncompromising honesty is a beacon of hope for future generations. As a nation, we will miss his guidance and wisdom.

In his tribute, Abubakar Malami, SAN, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, described President Buhari as a father, mentor, and statesman. He praised his leadership and noted that his passing is a great loss to the nation.

Malami prayed that Almighty Allah forgives President Buhari's shortcomings, rewards his noble deeds, and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus. He extended his condolences to Nigerians and prayed that God grants the family the strength to bear the loss.
