Unity Pledge: Gabam host State Chairmen

Abuja – National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, hosted an interactive session with state chairmen at his residence yesterday, drawing a majority of the party’s state leaders to discuss ways of resolving lingering internal disputes.

The gathering placed a strong emphasis on unity, with the SDP state chairmen repeatedly stressing that a cohesive party is essential to strengthen its position ahead of forthcoming elections and broader national development.

Political analysts noted that the meeting underscored Gabam’s continued backing from a substantial segment of the SDP hierarchy, interpreting the visit as a tacit endorsement of his leadership and highlighting an unresolved loyalty that could shape the party’s future direction.

During the session, chairmen voiced concerns over persistent factionalism and called for concrete measures to bridge divides, proposing a joint committee to mediate disputes and urging inclusive dialogue that incorporates all stakeholder voices.
