Abuja,  The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has clarified the recent Supreme Court judgment, stating it doesn't affect the party's leadership. The court dismissed INEC's appeal against SDP, upholding an order to include SDP candidates in by-elections across 12 states. This judgment is specific to the by-elections and doesn't impact SDP's internal structure.

The apex court declared the appeal an academic exercise since the elections had taken place and winners were sworn in. The court didn't address the leadership issue, focusing solely on the electoral matter. SDP emphasizes this clarification to prevent confusion among members.
