Bala Wunti Progressive Alliance Launches Campaign for Governor

Bauchi, The Bala Wunti Progressive Alliance has officially launched its campaign for the 2027 gubernatorial election in Bauchi State, with a strong call to support Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti as the party's candidate. The alliance's Founder/Executive Director, Mallam Ayuba Hassan, made the announcement at a gathering held at Yimír Hotel and Suites, New GRA, Bauchi, on Wednesday.

According to Mallam Hassan, the alliance is committed to supporting Dr. Wunti's vision for a better Bauchi State, focusing on youth empowerment and inclusive development. He appealed to various stakeholders, including the Bauchi Elders Council, APC National Leadership, professionals, and civil society organizations, to rally behind Dr. Wunti's candidacy.

Good morning, distinguished special guests, respected members of the platform, leadership of Bala Wunti Progressive Alliance, my dear progressive family, the good people of Bauchi State, esteemed members of the press, ladies and gentlemen.

It is with profound honour, deep gratitude, and great excitement that I stand before you today to warmly welcome each and every one of you to this very important and historic gathering. Your presence here today reflects our shared commitment, unity of purpose, and collective determination to build a better future for our beloved Bauchi State.

Preamble!
Bala Wunti Progressive Alliance is a political movement collectively formed to nurture the ambition and project Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti as Governor of Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

VISION
To canvas support for the actualization of Dr. Bala Wunti’s dream to salvage Bauchi State from its present challenges and reposition it with a high modicum of youth empowerment and inclusive development come 2027.

MISSION
To join the crusade and consolidate the ideals of Dr. Bala Wunti’s foundation for a better Bauchi tomorrow.

As the purpose of this movement remains very vital to the progress and development of our dear state, we are appealing to the Bauchi Elders Council and other critical stakeholders, the APC National Leadership down to the unit level, professionals, technocrats, captains of industry, our energetic and courageous youths, women, advocates of good governance, and civil society organizations to support and rally round a community leader, technocrat, philanthropist, and charismatic visionary leader with integrity — a man who has the people at heart and sincerely desires the progress of the masses — in the person of Dr. Bala Maijama'a Wunti, to become the next Governor of Bauchi State come 2027, Insha Allah.

As we conclude this gathering, I sincerely appreciate your presence, support, and unwavering belief in our collective vision. May your journey back to your respective destinations be safe and peaceful.

Bodejo’s Arrest: AGGA Warns APC Risks Losing the North Ahead of 2027

In a communique issued in Lagos on Monday, Olawole described the development as a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), not only in Taraba State but across the North and the country at large. In a statement signed by Dunijir Gatama, National President of ACYLF, the group believes this move is timely and necessary given the increasing security concerns and the role motorcycles often play in facilitating criminal activities.
