Governor Bala Appoints Salmanu Abubakar as Wikki Tourists Chairman

Bauchi,  The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON (Kauran Daular Usmaniya), has approved the appointment of Salmanu Abubakar as Chairman of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi, a move seen as a significant boost to the state's sports development efforts.

This appointment was officially communicated through a letter signed by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Aminu Hammayo, highlighting the governor's confidence in Abubakar's ability to lead the football club to greater heights.

The letter was presented to the new chairman by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, Adamu Babayo Gabarin (Jagaban Gabarin), at his office, in a ceremony attended by the ministry's officials and sports stakeholders.

During the presentation, Commissioner Gabarin encouraged the newly appointed chairman to justify the confidence reposed in him by Governor Bala Mohammed, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in the management of the football club.

Gabarin reiterated Governor Bala Mohammed's commitment to promoting sports activities that will enhance productivity and discover new talents among the youths of the state and beyond, aligning with the governor's vision for a healthier and more prosperous Bauchi State.

The newly appointed Chairman, Salmanu Abubakar, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity given to him to serve, promising to work tirelessly to ensure that Wikki Tourists returns to its glory days, leveraging his experience and expertise to drive success.
