The organization is headed by Sheikh Dr. Fatihi, the son of the late renowned Islamic scholar and cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

Discussions centered on rebuilding lost education standards, the importance of religion in shaping Fulani minds, and the urgent need to revive nomadic education as a basic foundation for fighting illiteracy among Fulani communities.

Emphasis was placed on providing adequate basic Islamic knowledge first to help members understand the fundamentals of worship, which participants agreed would promote peace and development. In attendance were the National Chairman of Nigerian Ardos, former member representing Lere/Bula Hon. Aminu Tukur, the National President of the Association of Fulani Students, Fulani Islamic clerics and scholars from the six North East states, members of the universities academia from the Fulani extraction, and representatives of the media.

Many stakeholders who attended the event expressed confidence that ASOFI has assumed a different dimension from already existing Fulani associations. They commended the leadership of Sheikh Dr. Fatihi Dahiru Usman Bauchi, noting that his intellectual approach and religious background position the organization to drive real change.

Participants stressed that rebuilding Fulani core values through structured education and sound religious knowledge remains the most viable path to tackling insecurity, illiteracy, and social disintegration affecting Fulani communities across Nigeria.
