From: Usman Abdullahi
Bauchi State – The member representing Toro Federal Constituency, Hon. Ismail Haruna Dabo, has flagged off the construction of a new school in Nobordo community as part of efforts to boost education in the area.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by critical stakeholders, including the Toro LGA party chairman, members of his executive council, community leaders, and a large crowd of party supporters. Hon. Dabo said the school project was a direct response to the educational needs of Nobordo and part of his drive to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the constituency.
Later the same day, the lawmaker moved to Magama Gumau where he presented appointment letters for 8 permanent and pensionable federal jobs to youth beneficiaries from across Toro Federal Constituency. The brief event also had in attendance the LGA party chairman and his excos, critical stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters.
Speaking at Magama Gumau, Hon. Dabo said the federal appointments were secured to address youth unemployment and create sustainable livelihoods. He charged the beneficiaries to be dedicated and to represent Toro with integrity in their new offices.
The lawmaker highlighted key successes of his interventions in education, health, and infrastructure since assuming office. He listed ongoing classroom projects, free medical outreaches, and rural road interventions as proof of his commitment to widespread development.
Hon. Dabo promised to do more for his constituents, assuring them that additional projects targeting education, youth empowerment, and infrastructure would be delivered in the coming months.
Party leaders and community members at both events lauded the lawmaker for his visible projects, describing the school flag-off and job placements as timely interventions that would deepen education and curb youth restiveness in Toro.
