Dan Amanan Wunti Welcomes APC National Chairman Ahead of Bauchi Visit for Historic Road Flag-Off

Bauchi, The Chairman of the Tinubu Lungu-Lungu & Progressive Unity Coalition, Abdullahi Saidu Gumau, Dan Amanan Wunti I, has welcomed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, ahead of his visit to Bauchi State. Professor Yilwatda is expected in the state to represent His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the inauguration of the Akwanga–Jos, Jos–Bauchi, and Bauchi–Gombe road project, a major federal infrastructure intervention linking the North Central and North East regions.

According to him, the anticipated visit underscores the Federal Government’s sustained focus on infrastructure as a driver of economic growth, trade, and national cohesion under the Renewed Hope Agenda. “We warmly welcome the National Chairman of the APC to Bauchi State,” he said. “Your visit reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure development and national progress, and it will give our people direct assurance of the President’s priorities for the region.”

As Chairman of the Tinubu Lungu-Lungu & Progressive Unity Coalition, Abdullahi Saidu Gumau noted that the Coalition is already working across the North East to mobilize grassroots support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. He explained that the Coalition’s structure, which extends to the 8,809 wards nationwide, is being deployed to engage stakeholders, traditional institutions, women, and youth in Bauchi and neighboring states. According to him, the visibility of projects like the. Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe corridor is making grassroots mobilization easier and strengthening confidence in the APC.

Dan Amanan Wunti I described the road project as historic for the North East sub-region. “According to the Chairman, this historic project will continue to inspire many communities across Bauchi and the wider North East to believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda. It is a clear demonstration that the Federal Government is connecting the region to the national economy through strategic infrastructure,” he stated. He added that the project will improve security, commerce, and social integration once completed.

He assured Professor Yilwatda of the Coalition’s full cooperation and readiness to receive him and his delegation in Bauchi. The Tinubu Lungu-Lungu structure, he said, remains committed to translating federal interventions into community-level awareness so that citizens can directly link government performance to party loyalty ahead of 2027. “We wish you a successful journey,” he said, welcoming the APC National Chairman on behalf of the good people of Bauchi State.

The Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe road project is expected to ease interstate movement, boost agricultural evacuation, and cut travel time for millions of Nigerians. With the APC National Chairman leading the President’s delegation, stakeholders in Bauchi say the flag-off will signal a renewed push to deliver critical infrastructure and consolidate political support in the North East ahead of the next general elections.
