Hon. Tijjani promised to work for APC victory after meeting Gov. Mutfwang

Jos, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on Wednesday held a strategic reconciliation meeting with aggrieved aspirants of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who contested for seats in the Plateau State House of Assembly. The move is seen as part of ongoing efforts to heal divisions within the party and build a united front ahead of future political contests.

The high-level meeting took place at the Plateau State Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos, and had in attendance top government officials and key party figures. Present at the gathering were the Governor himself, his Chief of Staff, the Secretary to the Plateau State Government, the State APC Chairman, and other critical stakeholders of the party across the state. Their presence underscored the importance attached to the reconciliation process.

While addressing the aspirants, Governor Mutfwang emphasized his commitment to inclusiveness and party unity. He acknowledged the concerns raised after the primaries and assured the aggrieved members that his administration would not sideline anyone who genuinely seeks the progress of the APC. He promised to work closely with them and carry all interests along as part of his broader agenda to reposition and strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Governor further noted that internal cohesion is vital if the APC must retain and expand its political influence in Plateau State. He called for forgiveness, understanding, and collective sacrifice, stressing that personal ambitions must give way to the overall interest of the party and the people of Plateau. He urged the aspirants to see themselves as key pillars in the journey to a stronger and more competitive APC.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the closed-door session, Hon. Tijjani Mohammed Amana ( Zannan Gindiri ) who contested for the Plateau State House of Assembly seat in Mangu North-East Constituency, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting. He commended the Governor for his statesmanship and willingness to listen to aggrieved voices within the party.

Hon. Amana pledged his total loyalty and support to Governor Mutfwang’s leadership and the APC structure in the state. He vowed to work hand in hand with the Governor and all party stakeholders to ensure the party’s victory at all levels in 2027, including the Presidential, Governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly seats. He called on other aspirants to embrace peace and unity for the greater good of the party.
