Dr. K.K. Ezekwelu, Esq. believes that the prosperity of Idemili North and South begins on the farm, and that is why he will prioritize structured agricultural support schemes for our farmers. He will ensure access to soft loans, input subsidies, and practical training on modern farming methods so that farming families can reduce costs, increase yields, and earn more. With this approach, agriculture will not only feed our homes but also strengthen food security and contribute directly to the economy of Anambra State.

To move our people from subsistence to commercial farming, Dr. Ezekwelu will facilitate the regular distribution of improved seedlings, quality fertilizers, and modern farm equipment across the two LGAs. This intervention is designed to cut down labor, boost productivity, and guarantee bumper harvests. When our farmers have the right inputs at the right time, they will be able to compete favorably, reduce waste, and turn farming into a profitable venture for youths, women, and rural households.

Raw produce alone cannot build lasting wealth, which is why Dr. Ezekwelu will attract and establish agro-processing centres in Idemili North and South. These centres will add value to cassava, rice, palm oil and other crops by processing them locally. The impact will be immediate: jobs for our youth and women, reduced post-harvest losses, and increased income for farming families. This is how we transform agriculture from mere survival into a real engine for job creation and economic growth in our communities.

Shelter is a basic need and a mark of dignity, and Dr. Ezekwelu will leverage his experience and federal connections to attract housing schemes to Idemili. Through advocacy and collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Housing and relevant agencies, affordable housing units will be sited in our communities. Beyond providing homes, this will also create construction jobs, stimulate the local economy, and give many families the opportunity to own decent and affordable houses.

No meaningful development can take place without peace, and Dr. Ezekwelu is committed to improving security through direct collaboration with the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, and other relevant agencies. He will facilitate logistics, intelligence sharing, and rapid response structures to protect lives and property across Idemili. A safe and secure constituency will encourage investment, allow businesses to thrive, and give parents confidence that their children can go to school and return home safely.

Real security, however, must also be built from the grassroots, and Dr. Ezekwelu will initiate community-based security support programmes to achieve this. He will support local vigilante groups, neighborhood watches, and youth engagement initiatives with training, communication tools, and welfare. By empowering communities to take ownership of their safety, we will create a culture of vigilance and trust where citizens and security agencies work together to prevent crime.

The state of many public schools in Idemili demands urgent action, and Dr. Ezekwelu will embark on the comprehensive rehabilitation of dilapidated school buildings. Cracked walls, leaking roofs, and unsafe classrooms will be fixed to provide an environment where teaching and learning can flourish.
