A CALL FOR UNITY, FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE WITHIN THE ALLIED PEOPLES MOVEMENT (APM)
To: The National Leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM)
We wish to respectfully call the attention of the National Leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement to the urgent need to uphold the principles of unity, fairness, justice, and mutual respect in handling every situation that has the potential to create division within our great party, particularly the reported attempt to remove the Bauchi State Chairman.
The strength of any political party lies not only in its leadership but also in its ability to recognize, appreciate, and protect the contributions of those who stood firmly with the party during its most difficult moments.
The Bauchi State Chairman is among those who made significant sacrifices when the party had no government in place and when the journey towards political relevance was still challenging.
Through commitment, loyalty, perseverance, and dedication, he contributed to strengthening the party and expanding its political influence. His efforts also played a role in bringing our National Leader closer to the party’s structure and in the growth that saw APM emerge as the second-largest political party, as we understand it.
In view of these sacrifices, it is important that any matter concerning his leadership be handled with fairness, due process, consultation, and respect. No leader who has invested so much in building the party should feel that his contributions can be disregarded without a fair hearing or proper consideration of the circumstances.
We must remember that leadership is not only about exercising authority; it is also about demonstrating fairness, recognizing loyalty, and protecting the unity of the organization. Where disagreements arise, dialogue
