NPFFT’s Call for M.A. Abubakar SAN to Withdraw Not APC’s Final Decision

Bauchi-The Media Team of Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar SAN has stated that the National Patriotic Front for Tinubu (NPFFT)’s call for him to withdraw from the 2027 Bauchi State governorship race does not represent the official position of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The team made this known in a statement, stressing that the group’s position should not be mistaken for the party’s final decision on its governorship ticket.
The Media Team maintained that M.A. Abubakar SAN’s leadership experience, record of public service and qualifications deserve objective assessment based on facts and the established guidelines of the APC. It reaffirmed its position that the former governor remains the best choice for the party’s governorship ticket in Bauchi State.
The statement further cautioned NPFFT against presenting itself as the authorised voice of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR or all his supporters without verifiable evidence of such a mandate. It stressed that the President’s name should not be used in ways that could create confusion or division within the APC, particularly as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
The Media Team also highlighted M.A. Abubakar SAN’s role as the Presidential Campaign Council Coordinator in Bauchi State, describing his position as important to strengthening support for President Tinubu and promoting unity within the APC. It urged genuine party supporters to prioritise cohesion, respect established party procedures and avoid actions capable of generating unnecessary disagreements.
The statement concluded that the APC’s internal democratic processes, rather than declarations by individual support groups, should determine the party’s governorship candidate. It reiterated M.A. Abubakar SAN’s credentials under the message: “Leadership Experience, Proven Service, and a Vision for Bauchi’s Progress.”
